Loop caps or eye tops are slid over the top of the line posts before the top rail or top tension wire is installed.

Steel Loop caps are my preferred type for the same reason I like steel rail ends and other steel fittings, they are the strongest and can withstand the forces of wind, people climbing the fence and just general abuse better than aluminum eye tops.
Aluminum Eye Tops can be used on residential or light duty fences, these are not as strong as the steel but will work just fine as long as you don't need the strength of the steel..
These come in many sizes, colors and both in steel or aluminum. we can help you find loop caps for sizes 1 5/8" line posts used on residential to 1 7/8" and 2 3/8" line posts used commonly on both residential fences and commercial fence with some light industrial use as well.
